The Dead Space remake is accused of being ‘woke’ and has been review-bombed by furious nerds who need to touch grass.
On the 27th of January, the Dead Space remake finally arrived and for the most part, it’s been well received by both critics and fans alike. The remake is a very faithful adaptation with new improved visuals, gameplay updates, new areas and bathrooms.
Wait, did I just say bathrooms? (Checks notes), yes, I did say bathrooms. So, what’s new with the bathrooms in the Dead Space remake? (Checks notes again), ah yes, the digitised bathrooms in Dead Space are gender-fluid.
This means that anyone can use them, including Necromorphs. To be fair, other than protagonist Isaac Clarke and the Necromorphs aboard the USG Ishimura, I’ve not seen anyone else use its bathrooms.

Nonetheless, corners of the video game community are angry that the bathrooms located on this make-believe spaceship set in the year 2511 no longer have male and female signs at its entrance. In a game filled with so much horror and gore, this toilet sign has seemingly angered a lot of people.
What’s more, the USG Ishimura is filled with propaganda posters featuring mixed-raced couples. Worst still, at the beginning of the game, Kendra Daniels now mentions that she has a girlfriend. Can you believe that?

Furthermore, according to a Twitch streamer, “normies” and “dumb people” cannot see this brainwashing propaganda. Apparently, video game publishers even want sectors of its customers dead, but yet, are still happy to take their money. I know corporations can be evil, but yikes!
Sadly, to no surprise whatsoever, those angered by the wokeness of the Dead Space remake, have now taken to websites such as Metacritic to go out of their way to review bomb the game.

“I liked the first Dead Space and this remake looked really good but i just cant speak well for a game gone woke,” said a user review. “women in general aged, why how?” said another. “Transgender toilets - check, original female character now an ugly lesbian - check,” said this enraged user.
“Woke garbage, removed any kind of difficulty from the game even on hard mode, they deviated from the original story to much, there is to much missing, its like they listened to the useless game journalists that cant play games and watered down the game, its not a remake, its a bastardization,” said a distraught user.
Even Steam isn't safe from the angry review-bombing legion. “Hard pass i guess, it's gone too woke,” said an agitated gamer.
The Dead Space remake is out now for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. You should play it, it’s a lot of fun.
