There is a secret feature in Cyberpunk 2077 that most of us most definitely missed that adds an unnerving tone to the popular sci-fi RPG.
Developed by the same studio that brought us the critically acclaimed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, it’s fair to say that CD Projekt RED had a tough time following the launch of the highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 when it arrived on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2020.
Check out the Cyberpunk 2077 trailer below!
Cyberpunk 2077 launched in a buggy mess, especially when it came to the last-gen version of the game and it was considered to be in such a poor state, that Sony removed it from sale via the PlayStation Store, for it to return several months later.

When Cyberpunk 2077 made its triumphant comeback, the game was in a much better state, at least when being played as a backwards-compatible title on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Thankfully, Cyberpunk 2077 went into overdrive with visual and gameplay improvements as well as tons of new features when the native new-gen update arrived in February 2022 which was later followed by its well-received Phantom Liberty expansion the following year.
Since that time, Cyberpunk 2077 has received a plethora of updates with each making improvements to the game but there is a feature that was included in a February 2022 update that most of us probably missed.
As shared by a Reddit user, there is a secret switch that allows you to turn off the street lights in Night City which will reset once daylight arrives.

The neon lights remain on the buildings and whatnot, but with the street lights turned off, it looks like the kind of place that Batman might call his home and it seems much of the Reddit thread was impressed with this subtle feature that went unnoticed by many.

“Damn, that’s awesome! Nice find,” rejoiced 0ffthewallace in response with Magjee adding “It's amazing to keep discovering new stuff in-game.”
Von_Uber asked “Does it turn all the lights off across Night City?” to which the Reddit user that shared this secret feature replied, “I drove around for a bit and where I was, the lights were off everywhere, so I guess it is.”
By the looks of things, being able to turn the street lights off in Night City is across all available platforms, because the gameplay shared in the Reddit thread is from a PlayStation version of Cyberpunk 2077.
Cyberpunk 2077 is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
