Yes, the Cyberpunk 2077 subreddit is still a NSFW cave of horrors - if you class scantily clad, or rather unclad, in-game avatars as your idea of a cave of horrors. And if you don’t, well, you do you I guess.
Allow me to recap. Cyberpunk 2077’s subreddit was recently switched over to NSFW settings as moderators argued that it’s a mature game that deals with its fair share of nudity and gore, adding that this should be reflected in the discussion thread. It’s a perfectly valid point. The issue is, Reddit mods weren’t thrilled with the decision, arguing that it should be changed back. Why? Well, many subreddits are switching to NSFW settings to protest against Reddit’s controversial API changes. A NSFW subreddit can’t have ads placed on it, hurting Reddit.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is on the way. Take a look at the trailer below.
To prove their point, members of the Cyberpunk 2077 subreddit have begun posting an onslaught of NSFW images. It’s hard for Reddit’s mods to argue with that. The only issue is, some have taken the protest way too far and now, moderators of the subreddit have had to remind people that they shouldn’t be posting ‘outright porn’. Oh dear.

A post by mod Tabnam reads, “Guys, come on, please don’t post outright porn. NSFW content within the context of the game is fine. Want to show us your V’s tits? Go right ahead! Want to go to town on some Borgs with a katana and your d**k precariously swinging all over the place? I insist you tag me so I can see it too. But this isn’t the place for outright porn. r/CyberpunkNSFW has got you covered though, so go all out. Nothing has changed on our end though. We only allow the same content we did before, we’ve just properly designated it NSFW finally.”
Did Cyberpunk 2077 fans respond to this with understanding and reason? Nope. “Well, there goes a whole 1TB folder,” kingflamigo wrote. “Only 1TB? Filthy casual,” replied Tabnam. “Porn should be measured in giggitybytes,” added theTenz. How did I get here?
