It has been two years since we saw the end events of Cyberpunk Edgerunners and just when we had come to terms with it, a new release has reintroduced the heartbreak back into our lives.

Inspired by Cyberpunk 2077, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was a 2022 Netflix anime spin-off that told the story of a street kid David who had to learn how to survive in a future obsessed with technology and body-modification.

Check out the trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners below!

Consisting of 10 episodes, Edgerunners was a hit and brought a new wave of fans to the CD Projekt RED RPG.

Now with the news that Netflix is working on another Cyberpunk 2077 anime spin-off show, it has got fans thinking about the final events of Edgerunners.

If you are a fan of Cyberpunk 2077 or Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, you will already know that their setting, Night City, offers no happy ending to its inhabitants.

With the game’s protagonist being doomed from the get-go, the same can be said for the characters in the animated show.

One character in particular was Rebecca, a mercenary (or solo) and friend of David.

As a fellow Edgerunner, Rebecca played a key role in the events of the show and became a fan-favourite thanks to her sharp tongue and chaotic nature.

However, Rebecca sadly met her demise thanks to the formidable cyborg known as Adam Smasher.

In her final moments, Rebecca notices Adam Smasher falling towards her and decides to go out all guns blazing by shooting him in the air.

After being crushed to death by his weight, her final words were, "We are having a moment here! F**k you!"

Now this heartbreaking, yet badass, moment has been commemorated thanks to a brand-new statue by Dark Horse Direct.

Coming in at $299.99, the statue shows Rebecca shooting at Adam Smasher just before he lands on her and fans are understandably upset.

“They don't want us to forget huh,” one comment read.

Another said: “Sick statue but the moment is so gut wrenching, although it shows Rebecca's defiance to the very end so I guess there is some meaning behind it.”
