Cyberpunk 2077 interesting discovery made by player after 'hundreds of hours'

A Cyberpunk 2077 player has made an interesting discovery after hundreds of hours that many of us may have missed.

Developed by CD Projekt RED, Cyberpunk 2077 is a massive game, from its gripping main story campaign that will keep you hooked from start to finish, to the well-written side-missions and interesting NPCs - and that’s not even taking into account how immersive the Night City map is to explore.

Check out the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty trailer below!

“Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure RPG set in the megalopolis of Night City, where you play as a cyberpunk mercenary wrapped up in a do-or-die fight for survival,” reads the synopsis of the game. “The relationships you forge and the choices you make will shape the story and the world around you. Legends are made here. What will yours be?”

In a nutshell, there’s a lot to love about Cyberpunk 2077 and entering its fifth year of release (yes, it’s really been that long), there should still be plenty of content to keep us busy until its sequel arrives and, of course, The Witcher 4 too.

So it’s understandable that to this very day, there are still plenty of secrets waiting to be discovered, such as the one made by this Reddit user.

“I’ve never seen an NPC like this in all my hundreds of hours of roaming the city,” said ElderberryEven2152, kicking off the discussion on the thread. “I walked past him without noticing and he said something, so I turned around and saw it’s a dude with a fully robo head and neck.”

To be honest, that sounds quite typical when it comes to the wacky folk of Night City, a place where it’s seen as the norm to be augmented until your heart's content.

“That's a proxy. A bot people use remotely. It was explained in a Dogtown gig or maybe it is a full Borg NPC, but the proxies in the gig have the same model,” explained Dnezad with another user adding, “Proxies can be human, there’s one in the main quest line.”

So there you have it, if you’ve never encountered this NPC, now you know who or what it is.

Cyberpunk 2077 is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
