Cyberpunk 2077 just got a jaw-dropping photorealistic graphics overhaul

Cyberpunk 2077 just got a jaw-dropping photorealistic graphics overhaul

Just when you thought it couldn't get better

Now considered as one of the best RPGs of all time, Cyberpunk 2077 has already received tons of improvements over the past few years.

From its major 2.0 Update to the arrival of its first and only expansion Phantom Liberty, Cyberpunk 2077 has gone on quite the journey since its initial release in 2020.

Check out the trailer for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty below!

With quality-of-life changes and multiple patches fixing the title’s original unplayable state, Cyberpunk 2077 is now widely regarded as one of the best in its genre.

However, that doesn’t mean that players are not still adding their own touches to make the experience even better.

That is why sosuinepsixuyu on Nexus Mods has created the mod Disable Fake Lights which is free to download for all PC users.

This mod aims to disable the game’s light sources such as the ones included on billboards and doors and windows.

You may be wondering why this is a good thing but that is because with the use of Ray Tracing, these artificial light sources are not needed.

Therefore, the mod removing them will add a much more realistic touch to Cyberpunk 2077’s lighting.

The mod comes alongside multiple comparison images and it is clear to see how much this simple mod changes the atmosphere of the game.

Not only that but downloading it alongside the Enable Advert Animations mod will make the result even more photorealistic.

As for the future of the game, CD Projekt Red has officially stopped development on Cyberpunk 2077 to turn its attention to its sequel, currently codenamed Project Orion.

Promising us even more of an immersive world, the sequel is still in its early stages of development but CD Projekt Red is determined not to make the same mistake twice.

However, with the team also hard at work on The Witcher 4, it may be a while until we see its release.
