Despite its launch woes, CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 is proving to be the game that many fans hoped it would be. That’s unless of course, if you play it on last-gen consoles.

To say that Cyberpunk 2077 had a troublesome launch would be an understatement, to say the least. While reports suggested that the sci-fi RPG was running reasonably well on high-end PCs and new-gen consoles, it was a different story for those that game on PS4 and Xbox One.

In fact, the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 was considered to be so bad, that Sony deemed it unworthy for sale and pulled it from the PlayStation Store before it made a triumphant return several months later. Thankfully, following a series of massive updates and added content, Cyberpunk 2077, at least from my experience, is a very enjoyable and fulfilling game.

Still, despite its massive improvement on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, it would be understandable if some gamers were a little sceptical about splashing their hard-earned cash on the CD Projekt Red RPG. Thankfully, there is a way to ease those concerns, if you subscribe to the PlayStation Plus Premium tier.

If you do subscribe to the aforementioned PS Plus tier, you can play a five-hour trial of Cyberpunk 2077. Sure, for a game that can take anywhere between 25 and 100 hours to complete, depending on your playstyle, a mere five hours might not seem all that much.

Trust me when I say, you can achieve a decent amount in Cyberpunk 2077 within that timeframe and it should give you a good indication whether you want to buy the full game or not. What’s more, if you do decide to purchase the full game when the trial expires, you will be pleased to know that all your progress as well as any Trophies that may have popped will carry over.

In related news, a new novel that expands on the lore of Cyberpunk 2077 is out now and the highly anticipated expansion, Phantom Liberty which stars the charismatic actor Idris Elba releases next month for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. However, the expansion will be playable later this month!

Cyberpunk 2077 is out now for PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
