The next game from CD Projekt Red after The Witcher IV will presumably be another Cyberpunk game, and this new tease seemingly confirms it.
For the time being this isn't anything to get too excited about as we've still got a long wait left for The Witcher IV, though I'm sure it'll be worth it…

It's comparable to the Bethesda situation where everyone wants another Fallout game but needs to wait until it makes The Elder Scrolls VI first.

Anyway, it sounds like once The Witcher IV is out of the way the next Cyberpunk game will be the studio's main focus.
Details have surfaced from a recent CD Projekt Red earnings conference that reckon “Project Orion(next Cyberpunk game) will enter pre-production in a few weeks.”
This information was shared to Reddit, and went on to say “Just at CD Projekt's earnings conference they said that the Orion project is entering the pre-production phase.”
Now again this isn't anything to get too excited about as pre-production is…well… pre-production, it doesn't mean full-on development and an imminent gameplay showcase.

That said, it's still exciting, and many fans are already pondering what a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 could be like.
“They have also recruited quite a lot of new talents, going from 60+ developers to 80+. And they hope to double that number by the end of the year.” read one of the comments.
Others questioned whether we’ll get a new protagonist, saying “Damn nice but I still can’t wrap my head around the protagonist part like will it be our same old V or a new complete protagonist?”
Despite there being several questions left unanswered, the realists amongst them all pointed out how“It’s gonna be a looong time before we see anything sadly.”

It’ll be worth the wait though I’m sure, what’s important is the studio is taking its time with this one…
