With tons of new customisation, both for our V and their cars, as well as an update to its photomode, Update 2.2 is causing players to return to the game so it is no surprise that a new discovery has already been found.
However, this particular discovery centers around an early-game quest and gives us an idea of how strong Adam Smasher really is.
We first meet the menacing cyborg in the very first heist of the game which takes place in Konpeki Plaza’s penthouse.
During the mission, his arrival means that V and Jackie have to hide in order to keep away from his menacing gaze.

However, one brave player decided to see what would happen if they tried taking Smasher on at the very beginning of the game.
Spoiler alert - it did not end well.
Posted to r/cyberpunkgame by chamwichwastaken, they reveal what happens “if you don’t hide with Jackie during The Heist”.
“Bold. And stupid,” is what Smasher says upon spotting us and he rushes towards us in all of his menacing, cyborg glory.

What follows is, well, death as he knocks us to the ground before applying a slight bit of pressure to our heads with his foot.
“I always assumed that it would be like other games where the failsafe is that the elevator would never arrive if you didn't hide. I have no idea why it never occurred to me to try it,” user Vox_Mortem commented.
According to some players, it is possible to kill him if you manage to level up your quick hacks before the quest.
However, this will soft-lock the game and you won’t be able to progress so, is it really worth it?
