According to one publisher’s recent earnings report, a spiritual successor to Bloodborne will be getting a full-blown sequel sometime next year…

As spotted by one eagle-eyed user on the r/LiesOfP subreddit, the publishers behind the 2023 Bloodborne-inspired souls-like Lies of P revealed that it’s getting a sequel in 2026, and the commenters could not be happier.

“Really hope this is accurate,” commented user topfiner, “Dlc in 2025, sequel in 2026, and them publishing wolfeye studios next game would be amazing.”

“Something tells me that Neowiz had to do some market research,” replied user BaronLoyd, “because they are fast tracking that sequel really really fast.”

As one of the commenters might have already given away, we also finally got some solid confirmation for the release date of the Lies of P DLC that was announced last year too.

But the real question is, which one of these Lies of P projects is going to be the one to feature that character?

Ok so, massive spoilers if you’re yet to finish Lies of P from this point onwards, so continue reading at your own peril.

During the conclusion of the game, it’s revealed that another, “second” key is in the hands of a character going by the name of Dorothy, who is also being hunted by Philippus Paracelsus.

Dorothy is obviously supposed to be the same Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz, and the teaser at the end of Lies of P seems to be setting her up as the protagonist moving forward.

So will Dorothy be the main playable character in a potential Lies of P DLC, or will she be the protagonist of its sequel? I suppose we’ll have to wait until later on in the year to find out for certain.

Although, now that I think about it, “Lies of D” is a bit of an unfortunate name so… maybe she should be the DLC protagonist.
