Bloodborne PC port we've been waiting for looks better than ever

Bloodborne PC port we've been waiting for looks better than ever

Here's your Bloodborne on PC

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve seen Bloodborne fans, or just PC gamers, begging for Bloodborne to get a PC release finally.

It has been on everyone’s wishlist for many years now and while we might get something official down the line - the game is 10 years old next year, so fingers crossed - it’s up to modders and community creators to get the game on PC, for now.

Fromsoftware fans are loving the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC for Elden Ring just as much as us

The PlayStation 4 emulator, ShadPS4, is starting to shape up nicely and should hopefully improve over time enough for PC players to get their hands on the Fromsoftware classic.

Sadly, PlayStation 4 emulation is in its infancy and creators are still trying their best to get games running via the software. Currently, it’s only 2D games that have a chance of running well, but improvements are being made every day.

One video shows Bloodborne being run of shadPS4 and showcases the game being loaded and lingering in the start menu.

While this may not sound all that exciting, it’s a major leap forward. Before this, the colour balance was completely off, and while the game can’t yet be entered, it bodes well for the visual clarity of the game.

Emulation is a tricky business, particularly for more modern hardware. It was only recently that PS3 emulation reached a point where everyone is happy - you can play pretty much everything and even upscale those games for better visuals.

However, the PS4 is still current, we’re not talking about hardware from generations ago, it’s much more complex than previous consoles.

There’s a hope that emulation will begin to pick up steam over the coming years and this will eventually lead to PC owners finally getting hold of Bloodborne, along with a wealth of other PlayStation exclusive titles. How long we have to wait is anyone’s guess, but at least there’s some light at the end of the tunnel.
