But one setting fans have always to see fully realised by Ubisoft is World War II. Past games have briefly dabbled in it, but a full game set during the historic conflict seems ripe with potential, no?
Fortunately, one fan has taken it upon themselves to imagine an Assassin's Creed game set during World War II, and the results are astonishing.
YouTuber TeaserPlay has used Unreal Engine 5 to make a fan trailer for Assassin's Creed: WWII, utilising ray tracing, Lumen and Nanite to make something remarkable. It's just a concept teaser rather than a full game, of course, but it doesn't half get the imagination racing for what Ubisoft could create.
“One of the environments that fans have been dreaming of for a long time is occupied Paris during World War II,” TeaserPlay wrote in the video description. “In this video, we tried to provide a general picture of this dream, we hope that Ubisoft will realise this potential and we will see an official Assassin’s Creed in World War II.”

Fans in the comments were also stunned by the project. “The coolest part of Unity was playing during WW2. I really hope down the line they make a WW2 AC game,” C’est Martin commented.
“Really gorgeous,” added HRG HRGamer.
In other Assassin's Creed news, fans who recently got access to the Assassin's Creed Jade open beta are having a great time with the mobile game, although some concerns have been raised about the potential to ruin the experience with in-game purchases.
