As one of many titles in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is quite overlooked in my opinion. However, thanks to one modder, you can now experience the game like never before.
First released in 2015, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate took the much-loved franchise to Victorian England and saw us play as the Frye twins. With the ability to switch between both siblings, each with their unique combat style, Syndicate brought a unique take to the long-running series. So much so that it currently sits at a “very positive” rating on Steam.

However, with the game releasing almost ten years ago, you could say that its graphics aren’t up to scratch. To combat this, one modder has released a remaster which adds ray tracing and colour correction to work alongside the latest version of Reshade.

As you can probably expect, the remaster mod was made to work alongside the high resolution and high graphics that come with the RTX 4090 and Ryzen 5800X3D. As a result, the modder recommends experiencing the mod with similar settings to theirs: 6880x2880 ultrawide resolution with everything on its highest setting.
If you are able to meet these requirements, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will look something like this and as you can see, it is clearer than most people’s eyesight. Not bad for a game that is almost a decade old!
In related news, a remake for Assassin’s Creed 3 is also available thanks to an Unreal Engine 5 remake. With Ubisoft hard to work on a plethora of new Assassin’s Creed titles, it may be a while before we see official remasters for our favourite titles in the series. However, thanks to some talented modders, we have some way to tide us over.
Additionally, with Assassin’s Creed Syndicate being hailed as the most underrated in the franchise, this will be an excellent way to bring light to a hidden classic.
