The internet is full of very, very talented people. From all the indie game devs hard at work on their creations, to the super skilled fan artists and music making magicians, you basically can’t do a single scroll on any social media platform without coming across someone, somewhere, crafting something amazing.
Just to prove that point further, people are now making literal works of art out of things that weren’t ever meant to be art in the first place. Luis Fernando Flores O (better known as delao_ on TikTok) has been rising to fame online lately with his incredible animated masterpieces, which he creates within Instagram by layering GIFs and images - you have to see it to understand how cool it is.

By searching for preexisting animations and assets, the artist is able to cleverly piece everything together in a really creative way, and the final results are amazing. He’s made pieces for all sorts of different games, TV shows and anime, including Call of Duty, Squid Game, Attack on Titan and Naruto.

The best part is that the creator shows all the steps from start to finish, so if you want to try recreating any of them yourself to impress your Insta followers, you can definitely give it a go. Or, you can always try making your own from scratch - I’d frankly never even considered that this could be a thing that you can do, but I know what I’m going to be trying later.
I imagine that there’ll be some people reading this who’d argue that this doesn’t count as art at all, to which I’d say ‘I bet you’re fun at parties’. Art can come in so many forms, and hey, you don’t even have to be human to create it - AI programmes are getting scarily good at creating masterpieces with just a few simple prompts, like these mind-blowing gaming themed ones.
