ARC Raiders' massive ‘Shrouded Sky’ update has dropped, and it includes some glorious freebies that you can claim today.
Released in October 2025 and developed by the indie team at Embark Studios, to say that ARC Raiders was one of the surprise hits of that year would be an understatement.
Ideally working as a team of three, in ARC Raiders, you enter a map, have intense battles with other players and try to make it out in one piece with tons of loot. At least, that’s the idea.
However, while a simple premise, there’s every chance that an objective will not go according to plan, especially when you throw ruthless AI enemies into the mix. But that’s all part of the fun, right?

As an online-only game, it’s critically important that the developers regularly support it with content updates to maintain player engagement and fun. With that in mind, the latest update, ‘Shrouded Sky,’ has dropped.
“Speranza holds its breath. Shani is blindsided by a Hurricane that engulfs the Rust Belt with ferocious speed and unrelenting force,” reads the description of the latest update. “Raiders have been caught in the howling, gnashing winds, the Tubes are at risk of flooding, and rumours quickly spread of new ARC prowling the surface among the fog.”
“You are not cleared to leave in such conditions; between the low visibility, unsuitable equipment, and risk to the Tube systems, it’s just not worth the danger… but that’s just an invitation to a Raider.”
Arriving with the ‘Shrouded Sky’ update is a new hurricane map condition, with intense winds, causing all sorts of mayhem, forcing players to think on the fly when battling, and it makes it a bit more difficult to obtain loot with obscured visibility, and players may lose their sense of direction.
To help combat the hurricane, players will also be able to take on new missions to gather precious resources, in the hope that the fierce weather might become a bit more predictable in the long run.
Oh, and to make things a bit more complicated, there are also two new ARC machine threats to contend with. Lovely!
The first machine is The Firefly, which will burn you to a crisp at any opportunity and secondly, The Comet, a sneaky grounded enemy that may get a little explosive if it gets too close.
As part of the ‘Shrouded Sky’ update, players can claim the free ‘Raider Deck: Surgeon’ cosmetic, which can be earned by completing in-game tasks.
“The Surgeon cosmetic is gradually unlocked by completing the Raider Deck, but whether you want to be Dr Jekyll or Mr Hyde is up to you. Scrub up, take your oath, and head topside to heal… or wreak havoc,” its description reads.
Finally, you might also be pleased to know that your character can now have a beard in ARC Raiders. Praise be! This might seem like a small feature, but it’s also nice to get more of a personal touch with your in-game avatars. The new beards and facial hair are available in the ARC Raiders store.
