Assassin's Creed Shadows season pass has already leaked, brace yourselves

Season pass content for Assassin's Creed Shadows has leaked, God help us all

New details on Assassin’s Creed Shadows, previously Assassin’s Creed Red, have leaked online, revealing season pass content.

Yesterday Ubisoft threw a curveball at the gaming industry and revealed the title of its next Assassin's Creed game, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which will launch later this year for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC.

Check out the teaser trailer for Assassin’s Creed Shadows (Red) below.

While a full-on reveal is planned for tomorrow, 15 May, leakers have shared a few details early, including a potential release date for the game, as well as planned content for after the game’s launch.

A Rainbow Six Siege leaker by the name fraxR6, who has a good track record for leaked information, claimed to know top secret information about a battle pass planned for Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

It’s said it’ll cost players around $40 and will add a brand-new quest to the game world called Origami Killer. The quest sounds like it’ll have a similar vibe to the Jack The Ripper DLC from Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.

Of course, with any leaks, fans should take it with a pinch of salt, but we could see confirmation of DLC content during tomorrow’s reveal.

Other known details about Assassin’s Creed Shadows include it being another open world title similar to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, though with any luck it won't be as time consuming to complete.

It’s also said the plot will focus on dual protagonists, one of which is a shinobi with the other being a samurai. Both playable characters will specialise in stealth and combat respectively.

We currently don’t have an official release date from Ubisoft, though it’s believed the game will launch for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC on 15 November later this year.
